Clarence Blewett was a musician, like his father Arthur, and was a player at the Jubilee Picture Theatre, Nicholson Street, Fitzroy, at the time of his marriage. His occupation on electoral rolls was progressively given as musician, tailor, manager and manufacturer. In 1930 he set up a textile manufacturing company, Fiander & Blewett Pty Ltd, liquidated 1935. He was listed as a pattern cutter on the report of his death to the coroner. Clarence died at work, Thomas Wardle Clothing Manufacturer, 5th floor, 60 Flinders Lane, Melbourne, and was found deceased at his cutter's bench, in a sleeping position.
