John W Blewett, 34, trader and his wife Anna, 26, travelled as second class cabin passengers from ... to Melbourne, arriving 28 January 1862. The Dover Castle left London on the 5th of each month and Plymouth on the 10th of each month ('Shipping Notices', Western Morning News (Plymouth), 21 November 1861, p.1, c.6). Being based in the west, John and Anna probably joined the ship in Plymouth.
